Life is full of surprises—some exciting, others challenging and unfamiliar. Yet, with the support of friends, family, teachers, and peers, these moments become more manageable. My journey has been filled with unexpected twists and turns, but with one constant i.e., the unwavering support that I’ve received along the way. Through my story, I share my experiences of navigating change: moving to a new city, starting at a new middle school, meeting new people, and of facing personal challenges and seeking support. It is the support I’ve sought and received that has shaped who I am and brought me to where I stand today as a social service worker who aims to support others navigating similar challenges.

We are currently recruiting people who have a passion to contribute to the overall well-being of youth by joining our Board of Directors and/or other volunteer opportunities. The benefits of volunteering include excellent opportunity for involvement in a meaningful experience, the satisfaction of making a difference in the community and with youth, an opportunity to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds, the development of effective decision-making skills and an increased understanding of group dynamics and relationships.
