This one-hour session will address the effects of intersecting forms of discrimination and oppression. Through the speakers’ lived experience and acquired knowledge, participants will gain a deeper understanding of core concepts around gender, sexuality, race, ability, and how to practise and teach their youth about inter-sectional inclusion.

Through the speakers’ lived experience and acquired knowledge, participants will gain a deeper understanding of systemic racism and what they can do within their community to actively create a more inclusive environment and support their youth.
Understanding Youth Mental Health
Youth-led interactive assembly will engage parents and caregivers with a deeper look into youth mental health. Youth speakers will share personal stories of what helped them overcome their mental health challenges with a message of hope, empowerment and resilience. Caregivers will leave with a greater understanding of the mental health challenges their children may be facing.

Youth speakers will share personal stories about their challenges with bullying and a message of empowerment, hope, resilience and inclusivity. Caregivers will leave with a greater understanding of the challenges their youth may be facing, how to support them and foster a safe and positive environment.
