Youth Speaker
“Depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues defined a large part of my life. Every problem I had with my mental health would make the next one worse, and it sent me into a downward spiral where I no longer wanted to be here. However, a few philosophy books I read for class reminded me of what psychologists had told me about having a growth mindset, and I decided to think about my life differently. I realized that I am not a static object, but a person that is in a constant state of change. Even if I dislike something about myself, I know that I can change that by putting in effort and time. Over a long period, by practicing, I got better at regulating my emotions and built up my self-esteem.”

Join our Team
We are currently recruiting people who have a passion to contribute to the overall well-being of youth by joining our Board of Directors and/or other volunteer opportunities. The benefits of volunteering include excellent opportunity for involvement in a meaningful experience, the satisfaction of making a difference in the community and with youth, an opportunity to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds, the development of effective decision-making skills and an increased understanding of group dynamics and relationships.
